Matthew Teltser
Dr. Matthew Teltser - Florida Cardiologist, Educator, and Leader
A retired cardiologist living in Hollywood, Florida, Dr. Matthew Teltser built a distinguished decades-long career marked by clinical practice, teaching, and leadership. He specialized in non-invasive, nuclear, and preventive cardiology, helping patients reduce risk factors and maintain long-term heart health. He concluded his career at Associates MD in Davie, Florida. Dr. Matthew Teltser also served as an attending cardiologist at multiple hospitals within the Memorial Healthcare System.
Having received his medical license from the American Board of Internal Medicine in 1984, Dr. Matthew Teltser began his professional journey with a private practice at the University Heart Institute in 1987. He became an attending physician within the Memorial Healthcare System that same year, going on to become chief of cardiology at Memorial Hospital Pembroke in 2001 and chair of the hospital’s medical department in 2003. He ran his private practice until 2012 and joined Associates MD in 2014.
In addition to patient care, Dr. Matthew Teltser contributed to physician training as an instructor of medicine at the Medical College of Pennsylvania. There, he guided internal medicine trainees. He maintained fellowships with the American College of Cardiology and the National Lipid Association. He was also a member of the American Medical Association.
Dr. Teltser completed his cardiology fellowship at the University of Florida Health in Jacksonville, following a clinical pharmacology fellowship and internal medicine residency in Pennsylvania. He earned his MD from New Jersey Medical School and graduated cum laude from Rutgers University with a degree in biological sciences.
